Boholweb.com has evolved from a portal of Bohol, to a vague website about interesting stuff in Bohol.  A dozen years later, I finally decided to make this as my journal as a tourist in my own province.  Being a Boholano, I tend to ignore the interesting sites and features of the province because I know they are just there and will be interesting to me if I take my non-Boholano friends on a tour.  But that has changed now.  I now believe I have a role of showing potential tourists what may await them.  I won’t show the usual stuff advertised by numerous tour and travel agents.

So each time I go beyond the confines of my barangay in Dampas, Tagbilaran City, I will bring along a camera.

Boholweb.com is a project by Auza.Net started in 1998 by Jerome Auza.  Through contributions from various individuals, the content and design of this website was finally fully released on June 12, 2007.  Quite a long time since the domain was first registered.

The website is intended to feature various interesting details about places, culture and wildlife of Bohol in order to help its promotion for eco-tourism.  Our contributors try to find topics that are usually not featured in other websites about Bohol.  Of course, the usual stuff are featured also but we try to seek those obscure but interesting things unique to Bohol.  If you know of such things, please let us know by sending an email to webmaster@boholweb.com.
